In 1999, his sixth album comes out. It was conceived, recorded, mixed and mastered in both Rio de Janeiro and Los Angeles, and Orlando Morais valued more his interpreter facet this time around. Enrico de Paoli also put his name on the disc. The repertory included two new songs and Orlando’s versions of great hits from Lulu Santos, Cidade Negra, Lenine, Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Gonzaguinha and Cazuza.

In 1998, after an invitation sent from America’s Betty Kaplan, Orlando hit the big stages in Hollywood, since he composed and sang the songs of Hispanic-American movie “Doña Barbara”.

In 1997, Orlando took part on a project called Novo Canto, held in Rio Sul Shopping, in Rio de Janeiro, in which many MPB talents were discovered. The project spawned a disc.
